A study shows that wine helps to keep from gaining weight
The wine, is the new diet for women?
A study that provide for women? but not more than two glasses of wine per day. According to a study published by the Women’s Hospital in Boston, U.S., who drank one to two glasses of wine a day were 30 percent less likely to gain weight.
For their study, Lu Wang, a specialist hospital, consulted to 19,200 normal-weight women aged 39 or more on what had been their drinking habits over the past 13 years. The result indicated that although all had gained weight over the years, those who had not drunk were those who had gained more, according to O Globo.
One explanation raised from the survey results may be how women metabolize alcohol, unlike men. For those with moderate consumption of alcohol is also used to consume fewer calories, especially carbohydrates, according to Wang’s more, alcohol intake tends to accelerate metabolism and thus women burn more calories.
However, the results fail to conclude a direct relationship between alcohol consumption and weight loss as the excess tends to impact significantly on the scale.
